Revolution, Anyone?

True Revolution

Those people know how to get their way. It seems like lead pipes might become the knew voting instruments of choice, beating those terribly inefficient electronic voting machines.

New Post

This is a new post. No one can yell at me for not updating for at least one more week

In modern society experience is given a premium. You have to experience everything for yourself. However, people don't seem to realize that experiences are moral. You can have good experiences, and you can have bad experiences. Last night I had a bad experience. Dad asked me to put oil in the van. There was almost no oil left, so I put two quarts in. When I looked at the dipstick, it showed that the level had barely risen. So I put in another two quarts. This time when I looked, the level was about two inches above the full line. So, I had to experience lowering the oil level. An oil change wouldn't have been very hard, but then I would have needed to change the oil filter, the one automotive commodity we don't keep around. So I had to lower the level without completely draining it. In the end I had to get under the car without a shirt and oil everywhere. Not every experience is good.

9th Circuit Court of Appeals is Being Sued

Why would some atheists want to sue the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals? Because they have the Ten Commandments on their seal.

Woot! We got the cable and the network set up. After several hours for the Comcast contracters to lay cable and 45 minutes on the support line with Belkin, things are finally working! I have updated two of the computers, downloaded Firefox to all of them, and updated Adobe to boot. At one time we had three downloads going at once with barely any noticeable problems. Very cool.

Okay, I am posting some pictures for the enjoyment of dial-uppers the world over. Just wait until we get cable (which is scheduled for Saturday).

Let me see if this e-mail post thing works.
